Host Family

Each year we look for new host families for international students. Host families are essential to the international program here at MCI as families provide a home-away-from-home for students on closed dormitory weekends and holidays. Closed dormitory weekends occur usually once a month.

If you and your family are curious about other countries, this is a fun way to bring some international culture to your home. If you have travelled, loved it and wish to go again, this is a great way to bring just a small part of another country to you. If you’ve ever been away from home, felt lonely and maybe scared, you already know how some of our students feel being in Canada. This is a great opportunity to show them what you love and be a part of their life. Or for those who simply have the gift of hospitality, this is a great opportunity to use it!

We understand that not all families have the time to commit to being a full-time host. We hope that we are able to provide some options that will allow those families to participate in the program still. Here are four options:
