Flexible Tuition Program

Are you interested in a quality Christian education but concerned that cost may be a barrier? At MCI, our mission is to make quality Christian education available to as many families as possible.

We are proud to offer Flexible Tuition to support our students and their families. This means that MCI tuition rates differ for each family depending on their financial position. Tuition at MCI is not  “one-size fits all”, it is a range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What methods of payment are accepted?

Payments for additional charges (i.e. uniforms) may be made by cheque, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, debit card, e-transfer, or cash.

These payment options can be made on tuition or room & board as well if paid in September.

Are there payment plan options available?

Yes. We work in partnership with Rotessa. Payments are calculated over the agreed-upon months, then are withdrawn from your account automatically on the first of the month. We encourage complete payment in September, but are more than willing to make these arrangements on a ‘by need’ basis.’

Effective September 2023 the following will be in effect with regards to tuition payments:

  • Paying up front for the full year would be a 3% decrease on the total.
  • Paying at the beginning of each semester would be 0% on the total.
  • Paying monthly for the year would be an 1.5% increase on the total.

Are tax receipts issued for school fees?

Yes. The portion of the payment that can be reasonably allocated as religious instruction (tuition fees), may be treated as the eligible amount of which an official receipt for tax purposes can be issued. These are issued by February 28th for the previous calendar year.

Is Tuition Support available?

At Mennonite Collegiate Institute we are committed to granting access to as many families as possible. In fact, no student at Mennonite Collegiate Institute pays 100% of the cost of education.

MCI’s Flexible Tuition program matches your tuition rate to your family’s unique financial position. So the tuition at MCI is not one size fits all. It’s a range. A range that spans from about 20% to 60% of the full cost of this high-quality education. This support is income tested to ensure both fairness and equity. Contact us for more information.
